What, in ya'lls opinion, would be the perfect rifle for deer hunting in the .308 Caliber?

Depends on you pocket book but I'm uming you are somewhat a bigginer or you would'nt be asking this question. .270 would be my choice but you did'nt ask that so I would say a savage with a accu trigger would be a really good start for you, not to expensive great groups and easy to care for. match it with a good scope and you are in the deer woods with a very capable rifle worthy of any deer in the woods.
