Safest way to pack earrings in my suitcase when flying?

Hi, on Friday, I'm flying out of Cleveland Hopkins Airport ( I think that's the right name) and flying to Phoenix. I haven't flown since I was like 4 or 5, and now I'm 14. I was wondering what was the safest way to pack my earrings in my suitcase? I have a box that I keep them in, but it says 'Shalom' on the side, and I think airport people would get suspicious if they saw that. I was thinking maybe a plastic Ziplock maybe? But I'm not quite sure. Also, any other tips for flying would be very appreciated since I haven't flown in years. :)
