Im a little afraid of heights, joining the coast guard. Read more info.?

I want to join the coast guard, im really pionate about it because I love the missions they do, really like the sea, search and rescue, maritime enforcement, etc. BUT, im not looking forward to be on a helicopter, I can fly just fine in a comercial airplane, but never been on a small plane or helicopter and im a little afraid of heights (i can go to a 20 story building and look down from the border, but gets me nervous). As a coastie, will I be flying on a frequent basis? Can I join and ask to be preferrably on the ground? Thanks for the input guys.
